General plumbing and leak repairs
Taps, valves, radiators, cylinders and pipework. The everyday jobs, including the small ones.
Plenty of firms won't turn out for a dripping tap or a running overflow. We will. A lot of our work comes from people who rang about something small, and then rang again when the boiler needed doing.
What the job includes
- Dripping and seized taps, and new taps fitted
- Toilets that run on, won't flush or leak at the base
- Leaks traced and repaired, including under floors
- Radiators swapped, moved, added or removed
- Valves, ballcocks and overflows
- Hot water cylinders and immersion heaters
- Outside taps and isolation valves
- Washing machine and dishwasher connections
Finding a leak you can't see
A damp patch is rarely directly beneath the leak; water runs along joists and pipework before it shows itself. Rather than pull up half a floor, it's usually a case of isolating sections and working out which circuit loses pressure. It takes a bit of patience and saves a lot of damage.
Hard water
Much of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire is hard water country, and it shows up as furred kettles, scaled shower heads and immersion heaters that pack up early. It's also what shortens the life of a combi's hot water side. If you're forever descaling things, it's worth a conversation about treatment.
Small jobs
If you only want advice, or one specific repair, that's fine. Ring and describe it and we'll tell you whether it's a job for us, a job for you with a 10 mm spanner, or a job for somebody else entirely.
Questions we get asked
Will you come out for one small job?
Can you fit a tap or radiator I've bought?
Do you do bathroom installations?
Why does my toilet keep running?
Got a job on the list?
However small. Send it over, or ring and describe it.
